The curfew, which took effect from midnight on Sunday, August 4, 2024, follows reported cases of looting and violence in the Bauchi Road community and Zolo Junction. According to a statement signed by the governor’s Director of Press and Public Affairs, Gyang Bere, the decision was made after consulting with state security agencies.
